RULES & REGULATIONS

BAKED GOODS EXHIBITORS MUST ABIDE BY THE GENERAL RULES

  1. No ready mixes will be accepted, except in decorated classes.
  2. An exhibitor may make only one entry per class.
  3. Exhibit half of cut cake or pie, leaving cut surface exposed, and ALL BAKED GOODS MUST BE IN PLASTIC WRAP.
  4. Cakes should be whole loaf or one-half layers. Cookies should be 6 each entry.

Rules:
 

  1. Exhibitor must bring the opened bag of King Arthur Flour or submit a UPC label from the flour bag when he/she submits the entry
  2. Entry must follow the designated recipe.
    1. For the Youth entry the recipe for "The Essential Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookie" must be used exactly as it appears in the premium book (click on link)
    2. For the Adult entry the recipe for "Bakery Date Squares" must be used exactly as it appears in the premium book (click on link)
  3. An entry form must accompany the entry.
  4. All entries must be submitted on a disposable container for judging (12 Bars)
  5. Judging will be based on the following criteria:
    1. Flavor:..........................50 Points
    2. Overall Appearance:.....25 Points
    3. Texture:........................25 Points

    4. TOTAL:........................100 Points
  6. Failure to follow the rules may result in disqualification.
