ENTRY DEADLINE: Must be postmarked by October 1st
ENTRY FEE: There is not a fee for Youth Meat Goat show entries.
ARRIVAL TIME: Friday, November 12, 2010 from 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. Youth Meat Goats must be weighed in by 5:00 PM. 

Prior arrangements must be made for late/early arrivals with the Livestock Director.
NO EARLY ARRIVALS.
SHOWTIME: SHOWMANSHIP - Saturday, November 13 at 9:00 a.m. 
YOUTH MEAT SHOW - Saturday, November 13 following Showmanship.
BOER BREEDING SHOW - Saturday, November 13, immediately following Youth Meat Show.
RELEASE TIME: Saturday, November 13, 2010 immediately following show or at the discretion of Chairperson

ABGA SANCTION SHOW RULES SHALL GOVERN


RULES & REGULATIONS
EXHIBITORS IN ALL SHOWS MUST ABIDE BY THE RULES AND HEALTH REGULATIONS LISTED WITH THE DIVISION OF ANIMAL INDUSTRY CHAPTER 5C-4 ADMISSION OF ANIMALS FOR EXHIBITION. ALL GOATS MUST HAVE CERTIFICATE OF VETERINARY INSPECTION AND SCRAPIE PREMISE NUMBER. TUBERCULOSIS AND BRUCELLOSIS CERTIFICATION DOES NOT APPLY TO THIS DEPARTMENT.


YOUTH MEAT GOAT SHOW



 

  1. ELIGIBILITY: Animals entered in the Breeding Percentage and Boer Goat Show are not eligible to show in this show.
  2. This show is open to any breed or crossbred wether or doe.
     
  3. All goats must be carrying all milk teeth at time of weigh-in. Goats showing either or both of the first pair of permanent incisors will not be eligible to show.
     
  4. Goats must be owned and in possession of the youth exhibitor at least 60 days prior to the date of the show.
     
  5. Youth exhibitors must be 6 - 19 years of age and not have graduated from high school. The show is open to the world. 
     
  6. Youth are limited to eight animals, no more than two in a claass; total number of animals not to exceed (25) twenty-five per farm.  Animals must be shown by the exhibitor, unless there are two animals in the same class.  Vo-Ag or County Extension Agent signature not required. 
     
  7. ENTRY FORMS CAN NOW BE FILLED OUT ON-LINE AND THEN PRINTED.  ALL FORMS MUST BE COMPLETE OR THEY WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.  All incomplete forms will be returned. If you have any questions about what is acceptable please call the Chairperson or Fair office.
     
  8. Entrance to the livestock area will be off Paul Russell Road through Gate 1 on the north side of the Fairgrounds.
     
  9. Parking in designated areas only. Overnight sleeping will be allowed in the tack pens providing materials are not set up before the barn is closed at 11:00 p.m. No dogs allowed in barn.
     
  10. Shavings will be provided.
     
  11. NEW! All personal items, trash and other debris must be cleaned from the barn prior to checkout. Do not empty water buckets in pens. Failure to comply will result in forfeiture of premium monies.
  12. NEW! Area in front of pens must be kept swept and clean.
